The USA: StarLine robots are attacking!

The easiest way to learn the world is to go on virtual travels, while sitting in your favourite armchair. But why should you limit yourself?! StarLine team with their robots has recently attacked the rivals from the USA and other countries in intellectual duels at  the largest international competition in robotics: FIRST . Children discovered new perspectives of engineering. Find the most interesting details in our report!

The name of this championship is deciphered as  "Encouraging of interest in science and technology" . More than 400 000 participants from 80 countries — this is not the limit, according to the idea of Dean Kamen, founder of  FIRST and inventor of  the Segway .

… So the children supported by  StarLine and Temur Amindzhanov’s fund "Finist" arrived at the hospitable town of  St. Louis . Here the most talented roboticists from all over the world gather together every year. Recently our guys have won the national festival "Robofest".

Here is the interview of our team from physical and mathematical lyceum № 30: "We are very excited to be here! Moreover, our team is the only team from Russia which has passed through all the qualifying rounds. Just imagine: only 128 teams from the primary 10 000 participate in the global round!"

Competitions are held for 3 days from early morning till late evening. But the guys still have the opportunity to walk along St. Louis skyscrapers, to see the famous "Gateway Arch" and much more …

The very first day of the championship really strikes the imagination! Each team has its own symbolics, costumes and, of course, a huge stock of friendliness and sincere interest shown to the colleagues.

StarLine children describe their discipline Tech Challenge with great pleasure. This year they "convince" smart robots to place the balls into the tubes. And in breaks between games they share technical ideas and experience with other roboticists.

As a result a confident entry into the battle with the experienced competitors paid its way: our team holds the 61st place in the rating from 128. This means that we see where to move further. Mentors are looking for new methods of training their young inventors. They hope the experience got at the competition will make the young roboticists even stronger!
